Internet access has been limited.......here is an update.
Britt and Debbie arrived May 26 to find the boat sidetide to the workdock at Port Townsend Rigging. The mast had just gone in and the rigging was made right. Lisa, Dan Ira and the crew at Pt Townsend Rigging are to be congratulated for the professioanlism in making sure the rig was safe and right.
Sue (Dusty's Mom) and Frank were aboard and helped in feeding and fixing stuff. Truth be known, Frank installed the forward head. And treated the crew to a fine meal of crab prepared onboard. Thanks.
While at the dock, all took time to get chores done. Nicki marked the new anchor chain with hand painted chain links at twenty foot intervals. Dustin and Devon spent the time taking care of loading on the boom and mainsail. Mark concentrated on the completion of the watermaker.
Lacking dock space and motivated to become self sufficient, Blaze anchored off of the cityfront of Port Townsend for another 3 days. Daily runs to town were made in the dingy to get last minute hardware and food. The setting was very interesting. Imagine yourself on an 1885 logging boat. You look toward shore and see a small shoreside town on the hil overlooking the bay. The largest and most noticable structure is the clock tower, which strikes hourly and can be heard easily over the calm bay. It is easy to go back in time while sitting offshore a town like Pt Townsend.
The boat is made ready and secured. Debbie jumps in the rental car to head over to Belingham.
Brit drops the camera overboard and loses all Port Townsend photos. Debbie hurries to Wal Mart and grabs a new camera along with last minute supplies......arrgh. time to leave this place.

This evening we learn Chelsea is having knee surgery tomarrow! I desperatly want to be with her as she goes under general anethesia but it is impossible to get from Port Townsend to San Diego in 12 hours. I have to depend on her boyfriend whom I have not yet met.
Many thanks to Gio, and his mom Laura for taking good care of my baby who is back at work one week later. Now the knee is up to Chelsea and Physical Therapy.
This is a working vacation. We are all working toward the goal of setting sail for the South Pacific.
Everyone is doing what they can to get us all there.
One morning befor the crew is up I catch an hour in my bikini on the fordeck. It's at least 72 degrees at 9am.
Out of 2 weeks I've been here this trip, we had 3 or 4 days of perfect weather and 3 or 4 days of rain. The other week was cloudy and cool.
The Pacific Northwest is compleetly opposite from Southern Nevada. I'm always happy when I get my tree fix. The people that live here are an added bonus. Everyone is so nice, helpful, considerate - lovley people.
